Do you know how I know God exists? One of the reasons (and there are many) I know God exists is that we haven't destroyed ourselves yet. I've heard it said that we are the only species smart enough to destroy ourselves. If everything was random and we just so happened to be here by accident, and everything is chaos, we would have destroyed this planet and everyone on it by now. Why hasn't it happened yet? God. I know what you're thinking: "You believe God is watching over us and he won't let us destroy ourselves. He's there, protecting us, to help us avert danger." WRONG!! God is not looking down on us in dissappointment, like some parent letting their child learn from its mistakes, hoping we'll smarten up. As the Joker says, "It's all part of the plan." Everything "bad" going on in the world right now is supposed to happen (yes, even what happens every leap year in November). Why? (Why do bad things happen to good people?) Because it must. Because the nature of the Universe (God) is to be infinite. Or perhaps I should refer to it as the Omniverse. God must experience, through us, this Infinity. If there is something that never happens (ie. pain, suffering), then there is a limit to that infinity. If something did not exist, then there would be a hole in God. Pain and suffering is not how we earn our way into Heaven, it is us participating in our portion of the Infinity of God.
So there you have it:
No God = we'd all be dead.
God = we are all a part of God experiencing Infinity
